Bed Bugs


Decodable Texts


Bed Bugs is book 8 of set 3 in the Bob Books series.  Bed Bugs targets the short vowels such as "ten", "bed", and "end", along with the short /u/ sound as in "jump", "bump", and "fuss".  The downfall of this book, along with many other decodable texts, is that the illustrations are not at all appealing.  For this reason, I am rating the book 4 out of 5 stars.

    I see that you rated it 4 out of 5 stars. Why? What led you to that evaluation?

      I rated it on that scale based on decodable text as a whole. While it was obviously not a very good story, with sub-par illustrations, I believe it focused on the areas it was meant to.
